Youth Leadership in Church

There are countless ways HTP's Youth can participate in our parish. We welcome their presence and can help them determine the roles that makes their hearts sing.

Acolyte Ministry

Acolytes help lead worship by carrying the crosses, torches, and Gospel book; lighting the candles; handling the offering plates and assisting with other ritual tasks.

Training is required and occurs monthly.

Other Leadership Roles

Youth can serve in many ways during the HTP services:

Greeter: Greeters welcome members and guests to the 8:00 am and 10:30 am services and give visitors guest bags that include a delicious loaf of bread.

Usher: Ushers distribute bulletins, collect and present the offerings, record the number of congregants, and guide the congregation in receiving Holy Communion.

Eucharistic Minister: Lay Eucharistic Ministers include Chalice Bearers, Lectors, and Intercessors. After training, they serve on a monthly rotation for Sunday and special services. Persons of all ages who can handle the responsibilities may become a Eucharistic Minister.

Youth are precious to God and belong at Holy Trinity. We welcome their leadership in our services.
