The Rev. Ellen Echols Purdum

Assisting Priest and Minister for Evangelism and New Member Integration

Mother Ellen has spent much of her professional life focused on young people and their vocations. She was a high school English and service learning teacher before going to seminary and being ordained as a priest in 2004. She subsequently worked at The Fund for Theological Education, a national, ecumenical non-profit focused on identifying and supporting young adults with gifts for pastoral ministry. Before coming to Holy Trinity, Mother Ellen served for twelve years as the assistant dean of student life and spiritual formation at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where she also worked closely with Episcopal seminarians. In her new role at Holy Trinity, she is delighted to be ministering with people of all ages!
