L’Arche brings together people with and without intellectual disabilities to live together as a faith community. In a world where people with disabilities are forgotten, neglected, and pushed to the margins of society, l’Arche envisions a world where people with disabilities are valued and their gifts nurtured.
For 50 years l’Arche has dared to enact that world by creating communities of belonging, celebration, and peace. Our Core Members (people with disabilities) are not just the recipients of professional services, they’re co-participants, agents of change helping to fashion a better world where everyone has their rightful place. L’Arche Atlanta opened its first home in 2012 where 3 core members and 3 assistants live together and share daily life in a house on Mead Road.
