The Decatur MLK Service Project, a large scale volunteer initiative, provides free house maintenance and repair for Decatur’s needy senior homeowners each January. By completing needed repairs, painting, weatherization, adding handicap accessible features, and yard work, the project helps seniors live safely, comfortably, and affordably in their own.

Holy Trinity will again be sponsoring a house in 2015, with Steve Bishop and Nancy Qarmout as the house captains. The dates for this year’s project are January 17-19. As a past participant, we’d like to get you signed up for your preferred shift(s) early. See the times below. We’ll also have a sign-up table after the Sunday services all throughout January.
Times available:

  • Saturday morning, January 17
  • Saturday afternoon, January 17
  • Sunday afternoon, January 18
  • Monday morning, January 19
  • Monday afternoon, January 19 (clean up)

If you are able to join us this year, please contact Dot Moye using the form at the bottom of this page.
