The Service of Advent Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship dating back to the early 19th century.

Please join us on the third Sunday of Advent at 10:30 for our annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. We will tell the story of creation that culminates in the birth of the Messiah, Emmanuel, God with us. Each lesson will be followed by a carol. Following the service we will have a Wassail Reception in Tisdale Hall.

Nine lessons from the Bible tell the story of the loving purposes of God from the tales of creation, through the prophets’ messages of justice and renewal, all the way to the angel Gabriel announcing to Mary that she will bear the Son of God.

In between each lesson will be carols to sing as a congregation and pieces performed by the choir. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 16, and concludes in a little over an hour.

Following the service, all are invited to our parish hall for a wassail celebration. Please bring baked goods or finger food to the kitchen (2nd floor) before services for all to enjoy during the reception. Contact:
