The Decatur MLK Service Project, a large-scale volunteer initiative, provides free house maintenance and repair for Decatur’s needy senior homeowners each January. By completing needed repairs, painting, weatherization, adding handicap accessible features, and yard work, the project helps seniors live safely, comfortably, and affordably in their own homes.Holy Trinity Parish Episcopal Church Volunteer Button

“As a volunteer for the past five years, I can’t imagine missing a year. Aside from getting to know my fellow church members better, working with the homeowner and seeing the direct impact we can have in our local community is rewarding–not just physically, but spiritually. There is always a job for everyone, no matter your skill level.”
