There are two local recycling events happening this month in the HTP area. Between these events, you can safely remove all those items that have been piling up in your garage and attic–and keep your peace of mind, knowing that everything will be recycled.

Household Hazardous Waste Event Disposal Day

  • When: Saturday, October 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Where: DeKalb Central Transfer Station, 3720 Leroy Scott Drive, Decatur, GA 30032

Safely dispose of hazardous waste, including batteries, paint, and electronics. Keep DeKalb Beautiful will also accept gently used shoes on this day. Click for the list of accepted items. This event is at no charge for any resident of DeKalb County.

Electronics Recycling Day

  • When: Saturday, October 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
  • Where: Decatur Public Works, 2635 Talley St., Decatur, GA 30030

Get that old IBM 286 out of the attic for the City of Decatur’s Autumn Electronics Recycling Day (with Styrofoam Recycling and Paper Shredding!) on Saturday, October 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Decatur Public Works.
